My Account Page - My Settings Tab - Travel Settings

Travel Item Introduction:

In addition to tracking and managing your time when you are stationary and consulting Clients, either at your offices or theirs, BullRush also automatically detects when you are traveling between locations.

BullRush will recognise travel when you either move a significant distance away from a Saved Client Location or it detects that your mobile device is no longer static or stationary (and is now mobile or moving.)

The currently active Onsite (GPS) or Manual (Client Task) Time Item will be closed and a Travel Time Items will be created whenever BullRush detects either of the above circumstances.

For more information on Travel, Onsite (GPS) or Manual (Client Task) Time Items, please refer to the Time Items Help Center Section.

Travel Settings:

The Travel Settings section of the My Settings Tab is comprised of two settings; Do You Charge For Travel and Travel Billing Rate.

The Travel Settings section determines the unit of measurement and dollar rate that will be used to charge Clients for Travel Time Items.

Do You Charge For Travel?

The Do You Charge For Travel setting determines whether Travel Items will be available for invoice processing or not and what units of measurement you will use to do so.

There are four different options for the Do You Charge For Travel setting:

- No (Travel Items will not be available for invoice processing on the Pending Items page)

- Yes - I charge a rate per km (your Travel Billing Rate will be invoiced to the Client for each kilometre of travel you undertook in the Travel Time Item.)

Yes - I charge a rate per mile (your Travel Billing Rate will be invoiced to the Client for each mile of travel you undertook in the Travel Time Item.)

Yes - I charge a rate per hour (your Travel Billing Rate will be invoiced to the Client for each hour of travel you undertook in the Travel Time Item.)

Note: If, for example, you do not undertake a full hour of travel within a Travel Item, the rate will be charged as a percentage. So if you undertake 30 minutes of travel to visit a Client and your Travel Billing Rate is $100.00, the Client will be invoiced $50.00 for the Travel Time Item.

The same applies when you charge your travel by Kilometres or Miles.

To adjust the Do You Charge For Travel setting, click on the setting field to open the drop-down menu. Once the drop-down menu is open, click on one of the options to select it.

Remember to click on the Save button that appears at the top of the My Settings tab to save your changes.

Travel Billing Rate:

The Travel Billing Rate determines what you will charge Clients for Travel Time Items, based on the unit of measurement you have chosen in the "Do You Charge For Travel" setting.

The Travel Billing Rate for your organisation will differ based on which unit of measurement you use, with the Travel Billing Rate for an Hour being substantially higher than the Travel Billing Rate for a Kilometre as it represents a considerably larger period of travel.

To adjust the Travel Billing Rate click on the text field and either enter the rate manually or use the arrow keys on your keyboard to increment/decrement the value.

Remember to click on the Save button that appears at the top of the My Settings tab to save your changes.
